Day 29 | 30 Day Snap

Today was quite hectic and super tiring! It was Armed Forces Day and Scarborough was packed with tourists as the Red Arrow Jets were in town. Yes I do realise a photograph of them would have been much better for this feature but I found it quite impossible when serving teas and coffees and keeping my eye on not burning the teacakes. The noise was terrific (I could feel the ground shaking) yet I never got one glance when peering out of the back window at work.

So after only half a none stop day at work I rushed home for my little sister's birthday party with her friends. It was a photograph party, we set up the conservatory with spare white bed sheets and got the fancy dress box down from the loft. It was such fun.... So my snap for today is me and my other sister "supervising" at the park after tea!

Day 30 | 30 Day Snap

Boooom! I have completed the 30 Day Snap Challenge! 

I have taken two photographs today because I couldn't decide which one to upload. I've spent my Sunday in Hull with my two sisters and little cousin, treating my little sister for her birthday by taking her to the cinema to see Despicable Me 2. Which may I add is very funny, love the end scene, I was in stitches! I've had a treat weekend and been to McDonalds and had a doughnut on the train journey home! This is me in the cinema with my 3D glasses and sweets and making some time up after when waiting for the train walking up to the docks.

I must admit I am pretty impressed with myself for completing this challenge, but I have struggled some days, coming to five/six o'clock in the afternoon and either forgetting about a picture through the day or not having a very exciting day so not knowing what to take a picture of. 

One thing I have loved about this challenge is the fact I can reflect back on a whole month. It seems to have gone really fast but feels like I have been doing it ever since I started my blog. Since I started this challenge I have had my hair cut, been ill, started a new calorie controlled diet, started to exercise a lot more, gone on a couple of family days out, been to work, finished my level 3 beauty therapy course and spent a few of my evenings getting ready for my new make-up course. Maybe I haven't experimented with photography skills as such but I have still got through the whole month taking a photograph, edited it, made a post, and wrote a little piece to go with it everyday for thirty whole days!

BIG Beauty Haul!

Thinking ahead and being good I wrote a little list of things I needed and new products I wanted to try.... Well that went straight out the window as soon as I stepped into Boots, more like town in general! 

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Scrub £2.99 Bodycare I loved the Pore and Shine Daily Scrub, so I have high hopes for this. It also smells so good, and its pink!
I have suffered with these small red bumps on my upper arms for many years now so as you do you "google" it and end up scaring yourself with all the different results. After going to the doctors they diagnosed it. Keratosis pilaris, nothing to worry about, just a common skin condition, rough bumpy skin with no irritation. Good I suppose, but the bad new there is no medication he could give me to get rid, so I am on the hunt to find something to at least reduce it! So I bought Bio-Oil £6.49 Bodycare.
Soap and Glory No Clogs Allowed Deep Pore Detox Mask £11.50 Boots I love Soap and Glory products, especially the witty comments and phrases on the packaging, cannot wait to give it a go.
Again... Soap and Glory. Sit Tight Intense XS £16.50 Boots. Well what can I say, it sucked me in, lets see if it works (first impression blog post?)
These little boxes of tissues fit perfectly on my dressing table, only 39p each!

Now I have finished college I can now wear gel polish without having to take it off in less than a week, I topped up on the essentials and got a lovely summery girly pink  "After Party Playful" £12.95 Red Carpet Manicure. I'm sure to be uploading a photo on Instagram very soon! 

                                       

So only over a week to go until I travel down to Bath for the first weekend so these little miniatures are perfect. Super cheap from Superdrug!

Now my favourite... Make-up! 

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush £7.99 Boots I chose the shade Coral Reef, never trying such a strong colour like this I just had to give it a go. I tried it as soon as I got home, its easy to apply, very sheer yet build-able colour, giving a lovely glow. 

Cannot wait to try this, Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot £12.00 Boots. I've heard such good reviews about this, hoping it will help keep my oiliness at bay throughout the day. 

A re-purchase, very much needed, I had sharpened my last brow pencil right down to the very end! Maybelline Mastershape Brow Pencil in Soft Brown £2.99 Boots (BARGAIN!) and it works great!

This is where I went a little crazy, a little Revlon mad! I went to get one lipstick for an everyday use and came back with three! Super Lustrous Lipstick - Pink in the Afternoon £3.74, Super Lustrous Lipgloss - Super Natural £6.99 and ColorStay Ultimate Suede - Front Row £4.49

I went into Wilkinsons with my Nana and Grandad, no intention of buying anything and came out with a little deal. Maybelline 24hour Gel Eyeliner in Black, the brush missing so got it for £5.49! 

Remember these prices are with the offers! 

So all in all I didn't do that bad... I saved £11.75! It was worth it, this big haul means lots of reviews and first impression posts are due!

My Beauty Shopping List

I haven't posted a proper beauty post up for a while now, I've been super busy at work and to be honest I have been a little stuck as what to share with you, mainly because I have been trying not to spend much because of the course fees I have paid out. Anyway a couple of days ago I received my summer coupons for Boots through the post and now I can't resist!
Plus..... I do need to re-purchase some make-up bits so I thought lets just get it all in one. I thought I would share with you what I would like to buy from Boots this Tuesday, also I could then see how much more I would probably end up buying too!

I have used the website Wantworthy to store my list of products I want to get. This is super easy to use, I love that you have a button on your bookmarks bar so once you find a product you want you can instantly add it to your list, and tick them once you have finally got your hands on them!

I am on the hunt for a natural pink lipstick for an everyday look, I don't think it's best trying to pick a shade online so will leave that to show in my next blog post. But I am thinking of trying the Soap and Glory range. I'm going a little Soap and Glory MADD! 

The list doesn't look very long but I am pretty sure I will be coming back with a bag full then I can do a Beauty Haul blog post... also does anyone know where I can get the Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara? Without having to pay a small fortune for postage to come from America....

To get some exercise in today I biked up to my Nana and Grandad's after work. I took my little sister and met my cousin on the way. We went on the the old railway line instead of the main road, working up an appetite for tea.

Carrying on with healthy eating, the past week I have been eating porridge for my breakfast as it much lower in calories than other cereal, well if you are wanting something to fill you up! 

I need something that keeps me going until dinner time, and it has been keeping me fuller for longer. So this is my PINK porridge! Yes pink! I had a little thought when I was making my fruit and yoghurt the other night, there was quite a bit of the juice left so I have been using a quarter of the amount of milk with the half juice and topping up with water. I really like it, and this morning I had a few grapes on top!

I apologise for the last couple of posts being late I forgot to press "Publish", very clever I know!

Anyway they are up and so is today's I have a busy busy day at college trying to get my last assessments done for practical. BUT this morning when I finished my last theory test I was waiting around for others and worrying about the afternoon. This is the result! I have bitten my finger nails, all but my two thumbs! I am super annoyed with myself as I had them all nearly the same length. So I am starting again tonight....

Does anyone else just bite some of their finger nails and leave some?

Day 18 | 30 Snap Day

I'm trying to eat healthy and lose some weight, so for the last few weeks I have been watching what I eat and trying new things. I've always wanted to try grapefruit so here it is, I had half this morning before my porridge and apart from being a little sour I quite enjoyed it. Well I think it was mostly because I knew it was doing my insides some good .... apparently grapefruit has a low glycemic index (GI) - the amount of sugar in the food you consume - therefore helping the body's metabolism to burn fat .... We shall see how it works out!

Happy Father's Day! 

It is very rare everyone is free on a weekend, especially on Father's Day as I usually work, so we have made the most of it. This morning we all went up to South Cliff so my sister could take some pictures of Scarborough, my Mum and Dad are wanting some canvases for the living room wall. I could not choose out of all the photographs we both took so I selected a few.
